On a press-conference after the finish of
San Marino Grand Prix Ralf Schumacher has told that the only thing that he misses now is his brother next to him. And now his dream has come true - Canadian Grand Prix has become the family business of Schumacher brothers.
Bomb?!
There was no time for rest after Monaco Grand Prix when Formula 1 world has been shaked hardly again.
McLaren's technical director
Adrian Newey, designer of the cars that won 6 Constructors Cups for 9 last years, has announced that next year he will move to
Jaguar! This news has quickly became sensation number 1. However Ron Dennis has kept a situation under his control, having declared that
Adrian won't go anywhere and will stay with McLaren for 3 next years. Jaguar's chief Bobby Rahal has
immediately bring an action against Woking squad. Now seems that sensation won't happen and everyone will stay with
their cards. However, nobody prevents us to dream about what can happen if this transfer
was held. Jaguar will move into top-team echelons and this will cause the redistribution of drivers staff. The English team bosses undoubtedly would begin to search for a new leader, for
Edie Irvine looks a bit strange in this role. But the occurrence of the new persons in leader's camps is always interesting and good for sport. But seems that this will remain only
our dreams
Canadian experts.

The Montreal track has a special dashing character. Every time we're waiting for a start of the race with our hearts stalled. Canadian Grand Prix has his own heroes. For example
Jarno Trulli, who twice was an initiator of a great crashes on starts in 1998 and 1999. Or
Giancarlo Fisichella, who's finished on the
podium all his 4 races here. This time he was unable to prolong this tremendous series - on lap 1 he has collided with teammate
Jenson Button and returned to pits dragging his front left wheel. Or
Jean Alesi, for whom

Canada becoming a third motherland after France and Italia, if to judge by his results here. This time French has managed to finished 5th that nobody expected. In an impulse of feelings Alesi has twisted his car in Casino hairpin and then has thrown his helmet to the tribunes, as he already does in 1999. And anyway we can't claim
Jaques Vileneuve as a canadian expert. Only once, in
1996, he was second here. His other campaigns at Canadian Grand Prix were extremely unsuccessful.
Montoya rages on.
Seems that Juan Pablo Montoya has gone wrong way in his aspiration for strengthen in F1. His results leave much to be desired - seven retirements in eight races, and his
behavior causes general blame. In Canada he has crossed any borders of decencies, having come to blows with Jaques Villeneuve on a drivers briefing. This was preceded by a skirmish on a track when Montoya, who was coming back to boxes, hasn't give a way
to Villeneuve, who was on his flying lap. Jaques, having lost a lot of time, has nevertheless overtaken Columbian, but he has kick him
off the track in the next corner. During drivers meeting Villeneuve has stated the

displeasure on Juan's
behavior. But he has answered that maybe he drives like an idiot, but he didn't kill no people, obviously hinting on Villeneuve's crash at
Australian Grand Prix, that took away marshal's life. Canadian has got in a bate and
punched Montoya. They were pulled apart, but the incident has caused Charlie Waiting reaction, who promised that if this skirmish will
continue on a track, both drivers will be disqualified. A numerous comments have followed after race, including
Gerhard Berger - direct Montoya's chief. Austrian has declared that Juan have to work harder on himself. Juan's father has
urgently arrived from Colombia - obviously to setup son's brain. Eventually, Montoya's
behavior is his own business. But he have to remember one thing - the British journalists will never forgive him Jenson Button's dismissals from
Williams if he will drive worse then Englishman. For now, despite of all his feats on a track, his results looks unpersuasively.
Family business.
 |
There was the times when Willy Weber, the owner of several hotels, has sold his
business, having met Michael Schumacher, who was driving in F3 then. He knew for sure that he won't need it anymore. Michael was just familiarizing in Formula 1, when his manager has "moved" his younger brother Ralf from horse to the
auto racing. He was sure that it will bring him a great success. And he was rights. Couple of years ago, having moved from Jordan to Williams, Ralf has declared that he does it not at his own will, but his manager decided for him. Now you won't

hear such words from him. Ralf has tasted the smell of wins. And now he knows for sure what he wants too. And though Michael considers that his younger brother is not too stable yet to struggle for a title, it's abundantly clearly that on a certain tracks Ralf will be able fight for a victory. For now they became the first brothers who managed to make a one-two in race and qualifying. Such a family business
