F1 A.D. Specials - Jordan

For 1992 Eddie concludes the contract on the engine delivery with Yamaha, who was shouting about the creation of the revolutionary aggregate. But - curiously - there wasn't any volunteers to purchase these motors, but Eddie has decided to put on them. There is a simple explainment of this fact - crafty Irish has managed to receive a massive budget addition from Yamaha. How much Japanese have paid Jordan, remains a mystery, but revolution from Yamaha and was not held. 1992 season was voted down. No points and a struggle for a right to start in race.

And Eddie goes on changes: the contract with Yamaha bursts, Hart becomes the Jordan's motorman. For a year of ordinary-looking races the team was simply forgotten and Jordans organize the tests session with Martin Donelly, a driver who has fall into terrible emergency and arduously learned to walk again. The was no any charity a la Peter Sauber and Carl Wendlinger in 1994. It was necessary to attract an attention on the team. The Jordan's drivers become the winner of British F3 Rubens Barrichello and rather experienced Italian Ivan Capelli. The second one was discharged after 2 (!) race, in one of which he was DNQ. He was changed with a F1 veteran Thierry Boutsen, but he too looks faintly on a background of the young Brazilian and leaves a team, and F1 at the same time. The history of 1991 repeats again, and the second car drives a guy who have money. But among them has been found if not a new Schimacher then his future teammate. For an appearance of the japanese F3000 star Eddie Irvine in Formula 1 the Japanese sponsors have paid many money, but here they have deprived him, as Eddie has finished 6th in his debut race and make a fight with Ayrton Senna! Not every person can make such a signfull debut. Thus was determined a drivers line up for the nearest two years.

Meanwhile Jordan's business goes better and better. Bryan Hart has worked well on the new engine, the car has designed successfully, Barrichello and Irvine are constantly in the highlights of the press,  they finishing on a podiums. And in the Belgium Barrichello managed to take the pole. The team rises to the fifth place in the Designers Cup.

The plans for a next season was just great. The team received a new Peugeot engines (and a big money injections from the French oil giant Total). But it was visible that the car simply haven't enough speed. Inspite of the pilots combated with all their mignts, Jordan has succumbed his Designers Cup 5th position to Ligier. The situation hasn't improved and in 1996, despite of Martin Brundle efforts, invoked for strife among lacks of a chassis and Benson&Hedger sponsor's injections, remaining with a team and to the present days.

Agressive car color scheme, striking shows with models - Eddie's team always was in the highlights.

Again, just like in 1992 and 1993 the team appears in stagnation and again Eddie Jordan's talent shows in a situation when the team needs a shakeup. He completely renovates the drivers. In place of Barrichello and Brundle there came young Geancarlo Fisichella, which had an experience of only 8 races in Minardi, and the Japanese F3000 champion Ralf Schumacher, that was also a very strong advertising course. Jordan organizes the tests with Nigel Mansell, which starts to tell about the Jordan's great car and young drivers  in all interviews.

Naturally, that the specialists did not think that these petitions are serious. However from the very beginning of a season the young Jordan drivers begun to confirm the words of the British Lion. And in Germany Fisichella has missed the victory because of the broken shortly before the finish engine. And all would be just great, but the conflict arisen between the pilots. Schumi jr. begun to demand a most favored treatment for himself, though his results were worse than for the Italian. The scandal led to Fisichella's escape to Benetton.
