in place of Italian, Damon Hill has come. Tired of Tom Walkinshaw
promises, Englishman has decided to go to Jordan, though he could went
to McLaren, and then, who knows, maybe the destiny of two titles of 98
and 99 would be quite different. Besides Jordan has changed the motorman.
Having interchanged with Prost with engines, Jordan has won, wherefore
to four-time World Champion Alain
Prost's tortures with Peugeot simply has no end. But Jordan has not
pleased in the first half of season'98. The Gary Anderson's car simply
had not enough speed. The drivers were finishing stably, but finishing
in the company weak-willed Tyrrell, Minardi and the same Prost.

And
again Eddie
has managed to drag his team from the bog. Only he knows how he could
dismiss the old friend and partner Gary Anderson. But with the Mike
Gaskoyn's arrival in the team, the car has found it's speed. And gone so
well that the drivers managed to take a double in Spa! As a finish of a
so nasty begun season, became breakthrough on the fourth place in the
Designers Cup.
But
the point of maximum till now became a 1999 season. The Ralf
Schumacher's escape to Williams and
the arrival of a slightly forgotten Heinz
Harald Frentzen did not seem to promise anything good. Frentzen has
purely disappointed himself for two years in the champions team. However
in Jordan Heinz has simplly blossomed! Already in the first race he
has finished second, and in France he has won, having anticipated
Barrichello, Hakkinen
and Michael Schumacher! |
In the end of season - 2 victories, one pole
position and the team mounts to the 3rd place up in the table of
Designers Cup. But as great has acted Frentzen so unconvincing was looked Hill. Having declared in Canada about the ending
of his career Damon just finished the season. But his main contribution
was in test work, where he always was one of best.

So
come the season'2000. Sprawling out in his arm-chair, Eddie Jordan
talking about the plans to take the second place in Designers Cup and to
fight for a title. The drivers are posing with a new EJ10 and nobody
knows yet what a disappointment there will be in the forthcoming season.
The team will be bypassed both by Willams, and Benetton, with old-aged
Supertec. And BAR will be right bihind their back. And seems to be that
the guys in yellow are permanently in the highlights, permanently in the
first rows of the peleton, but the fancy bad luck causes Jarno Trully
and H H Frentzen to look sad.

But
for sure it is not for a long time.
Because they have Eddie Jordan. The person with frivolous appearance and
iron will, who has saved the team not once. That drummer who never was
mad!
