Survives yet again. Their biggest change will be the use of hybrid
Yamaha Judd V10 engines. The performance and reliability of the cars must be questionable at this stage of the season after little winter testing. However this little British team traditionally build
extremely reliable - and therefore point-scoring - cars and they soldier on
regardless of problems. Drivers are Andrea de Cesaris, who seems to have found a happy
home at Tyrrell, and Ukyo Katayama.
Tyrrell's number one driver Andrea de Cesaris is in his 13th Formula One season but has yet to win a GP. He is still very fast and could claim a victory - but it would probably come in extremis. He still suffers from the
reputation he earned early in his career. Ukyo Katayama is the new number two at Tyrrell and could well prove the better of the Japanese F1 drivers. He helped the engine
situation, being Japanese, as well as bringing sponsorship to the team. His speed is greater than his experience. |
