Another charismatic name in F1. Some great performances in 1992 on which they will be hoping to capitalise this season. An uncomplicated car, now committed to using Lotus active suspension. Lotus, another Ford HB user, could easily maintain the fifth position they finished in the manufacturers' championship last year. The two young jockeys, Johnny Herbert and Alessandro Zanardi, are certain to provide entertainment and pleasure for many spectators. 
Johnny Herbert is number one driver for Lotus but will be pushed by the under-rated Alessandro Zanardi. Herbert, a natural successor to Nigel Mansell as British world champion, was somewhat overshadowed by Mika Hakkinen last year. He now has everything going for him. He is naturally fast - and many a mum's favourite for his cute looks! Zanardi, highly rated by Jordan in '91 and test driver for Benetton in '92, also has natural speed as well as an analytical mind. His weakness is his lack of race experience.
