John
Watson comments:
Still the most charismatic name in Formula One but still trying to live up to their image. On paper, 1993 should see Ferrari back on top but they have a lot to do. They have been boosted by the return of engineering wizard John Barnard and driver Gerhard Berger. Berger comes back fresh from a long spell at the McLaren University of Formula One where he has developed his potential as a racing driver. Berger, combined with Jean Alesi, makes up possibly the strongest line-up in Formula One this season.
Jean Alesi, the man with the biggest heart of any current racing driver, will once again be behind the wheel of a Ferrari. Alesi's throttle foot is like a switch, either off or on, and he deserves better for his efforts than he received last season. His strength is this unbreakable heart for racing but he can be wickedly aggressive at times. Teammate Gerhard Berger has natural speed and aggression but may still try to drive through problems. |
