Michael SCHUMACHER - I'm young, I can wait

March 14^th this guy will start his second full season in Formula 1. And he will begin as one of the candidate for a World Champion title. Or, at least, as a main rival for Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. What does he think about it?

M.S.: Everyone around me wait it so much so I have nothing to do just play this role.

Q: Did last season changed your life?

M.S.: 1992 season has begun very hard for me. First races I drove with a heavy weight pushing me down. I wasn�t sure in my future. But then somehow appears the hope that I�m in the beginning of the big career and I begun to believe that everything is not so bad. But in the beginning I didn�t thought about it � but people around me, especially Flavio Briattore, has gave me the faith. God gave me a power to stand it all. Today everything seems so easy to me!

Q: People expect you to learn Briattore�s lessons well�

M.S.: I know that you are waiting much from me. When I finished on the podium people start to ask me when I will win the race. When I won the race you begun to talk about World Champion title� And what do you think I�m working for? Benetton is a very competitive car and this season we are planning to drive to Williams and maybe beat them!

Q: But you already beaten Williams in Spa last year�

M.S.: The circumstances played for me that day. But, anyway, that day is a happiest one in my life. Williams wasn�t good in Spa� Situation was abnormal and we have to use it anyway!  

Q: Does it means that Schumacher is ready to pay any price for a victory?

M.S.: Did I really said that?

Q: But you meant it!

M.S.: Oh, no! I just got angry!

Q: Does new Benetton car suits you well?

M.S.: We play a little to Williams but just a little and we are ready to be next to the victory if they will make a mistake. We didn�t done well at Kyalami, but that�s just a beginning. Benetton is a top-team today. This winter we have to made many thing anew in team. And we made it quickly. The only problem is deficit of the reliability of the new car. And we will work it out in a shortest way.  

Q: You are just 24. But people declare you as a main candidate for World Champion title. Like Senna and Prost. Do you afraid of them?

M.S.: If you talking about their names and titles � then no. But you don�t have to think that I don�t respect them. And if someone think that to beat them is my duty, then I must say � it�s not my major task for today. I�m young, I can wait. I think that drive a good car and get a pleasure from it is more important.

Q: Don�t want to experience that feeling � to beat the World champions?

M.S.: I think that it feels great! But let�s remain the realists. But I have to repeat it, I don�t think that I must defeat them!  

Q: People talk that next year FIA will restrict the electronic devices. What do you think about it?

M.S.: I�m always happy to try something new in the car. But I like only that things that help me to drive better. I want to win due to my talent but not due to the electronic tricks. But I don�t think that I have a right to critic the FIA�s decisions. I�m not Senna or Prost and all I can do is just express my opinion.
